    A statistic from the World Health Organization indicates that 60% of deaths are caused by chronic diseases. This is linked to the increase in wealth and sedentary lifestyle. If we continue to live this way, it will be easier for us to contract diseases. In this fast-paced lifestyle, we are always on the move. We usually choose to eat food without thinking much about the contents of the food, but simply thinking about filling our stomach. Apart from the food consumption factor, family history and polluted environment are also the main causes of chronic diseases. However, there are some key measures we can take to prevent chronic diseases, such as adopting a healthy lifestyle, having regular check-ups and reducing the risk factor for chronic diseases. It seems that preventive measures are common, but few people know that the above measures can help us stay healthy and reduce the risk of contracting these diseases. Adopting a healthy lifestyle is the most important step to prevent chronic diseases, which means that step to be carried out as a routine activity. For example, we need to do regular physical activity for at least 25 minutes a day to ensure that our weight is balanced and the risk of developing a chronic disease can decrease. However, physical activity is not only about doing intense exercises in the gym, but things like walking, cleaning, gardening are also considered exercises that can bring us a lot of benefits. Furthermore, to have a well-balanced diet, three steps can be carried out. First, we need to eat a variety of foods from each level of the food pyramid to ensure we get all the nutrition our bodies need. Then, plan and prepare healthy meals before taking it.
