    Despite equal opportunity legislation, sexism is still evident in the workplace. Women have made great strides in the workforce and are now an integral part of the workforce. They have better access to higher education and, therefore, better access to traditionally male-dominated professions, such as law. Although statistics show that women are equal to men in terms of numbers in the legal profession, it is clear, however, that they have not yet achieved equality in all other areas of their employment. Discrimination in the form of gender, sex and sexual harassment continues to be a problem in today's society. Historically, women have been discriminated against in the United States based solely on their gender. Gender or sex discrimination can be described as the unfair treatment of a person in their employment because of their sex. It is illegal to discriminate on the basis of sex and may have negative effects on employment, including salary, position and title, advancement and training opportunities, or whether an individual whether or not hired or fired from a job. Sexual harassment, by definition, is conduct-based. of a sexual nature.
