Mark Twain was an extraordinary writer who left a forever impact on American literature. He was a very creative and outside-the-box thinker. His books were among the most interesting and influential books in the United States. Few writers have the ability to connect with people like him, Mark Twain was an extraordinary writer who forever left an impact on American literature. Mark Twain was born to John and Jane Lampton in November 1835 in Florida, Missouri. He was their sixth child and they originally named him Samuel Langhorne Clemens. They later decided to move to Hannibal, Missouri. Where he received no real education, but he loved learning. At just eleven years old, he took his first job as a typist in order to help his family, as they had lost their father and needed more income. Mark Twain had to drop out of school to help his family financially. He had to leave town and traveled until he finally settled in Virginia City, Nevada. Where he then decided to try mining but failed. He then moved to San Francisco where he worked as a journalist and lecturer for a time. But he decided to travel as much as he could and left that as well. Mark Twain later married a woman named Olivia Livy Langdon. They were then blessed with their first child, who unfortunately only stayed alive for 19 months due to diphtheria. After finally overcoming such a loss, they managed to have three more daughters. And they lived a happy life, until Mark Twain died of a heart attack at the age of 74. But he didn't leave this world before leaving a big impact on the United States. One of Mark Twain's very important works was The Adventures. by Tom Sawyer which is about a young boy named Tom Sawyer who lives with his aunt...... middle of paper ......sby takes his right hand for his left and leads a charge in the wrong direction, surprising a Russian force which panics and causes the Russian army to retreat, thus ensuring victory. But everything he did and all the medals he won were down to luck. The characters in this story should be the narrator, the clergyman and of course Scortsby. The narrator helps start the story and the pastor helps by explaining his point of view. Scortsby, on the other hand, not to mention, turned out to be a very important part of this story. He is the main subject of the story from start to finish. Mark Twain's lasting legacy is considered to be the body of literature he gave to the world. Great things have happened because of this man's way of thinking. And the impact he left behind is a great way to understand what writing really is..
