Christians should not remain silent on social issues because of their size, their moral compass and the activity of God. They should not judge the lives of people they know but rather gently criticize them while showing the love and acceptance of Jesus. Social problems in the world affect many Christians personally. “All of these issues and more affect both Christians and those who have no religious faith,” about a third, “32% of the world’s population is Christian.” Christians should therefore use their numbers and participate in social issues that directly concern them or issues that create in them “an awakening of the love of God that cannot be contained.” Hebrews 5:11 says, “For those who are mature, who through training have the ability to recognize the difference between good and evil.” Christians are equipped with a moral compass. It is this compass that we should use in our struggle to help others. Many people are not guided by this and do not want to help others who are suffering and instead want to make a profit. So, Christians should use their majority and their sense of right and wrong to guide the rest of the world. Over time, this will create a more peaceful and loving environment for people to live in, instead of a society solely focused on profit. Like King David in 2 Samuel 6:1-15, we must take God into the cities. After seeing how Obed-Edom had received the Ark of the Covenant, David took the Ark into the city so that others could receive its blessing. As Christians, we are the modern New Testament of a vessel that carries and contains the spirit of God within us. Christians are the Ark of God. Therefore, Christians must spread God's will on Earth. Jesus does not sit at ease, indifferent to the state of middle of paper......eternal life, 'As Christians, our role in people's lives should be to serve as an example and to help others live up to the highest standards for God. By recommending changes that people can make in their lives, but doing so gently, Christians can remain a shining, but also helpful, light.
