For a team to be successful, several factors must be taken into account so that a group of fluid and functional individuals can achieve a certain goal. This objective can have a variety of purposes, from producing minor results to making decisions that create major impact on a large scale. In a team environment, conflict is always present. Conflict is essential to the advancement of teams and must be managed appropriately to avoid destruction and division within the group of individuals. From sports to education to teamwork in the workplace, teamwork is present in everyday life. As a human race, we all work in different team situations in order to accomplish various tasks. For example, the Rye High School football club suffers from internal teamwork issues that involve diversity-related interaction disorders and a lack of leadership at the interpersonal level. With the addition of a foreign player from Colombia, a new group of first-year players at the university level and the hiring of a female coach on a men's team, a conflict persists that prevents the team and its leaders from working towards achieve their goals. to win games and learn to work with each other. These types of problems within a sports team are prevalent all over the world. The language barrier and the integration of different cultures in this situation created a negative tension that divided the team. Many players and coaches on the team do not know how to work as a team with a new member from different upbringings and traditions as to how to work in a sports team such as football.
