  • Essay / The Importance of Relationships in Nursing - 1228

Values and attitude drive a person to reach their full potential. Inner and other-led motivation has helped me in my desire to grow professionally. Losing my job and going through a difficult divorce wreaked havoc on my life. My life was a total disaster at this point in my life. I wanted happiness and financial stability. This devastating situation left me with no desire or motivation to achieve this status. After a while, my attitude and motivation changed and I decided to move forward and create a better, more fulfilling life. Taking care of my daughter and her well-being has motivated me to move forward and flourish professionally. I went to nursing school at the age of 44, became a registered nurse, and am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This journey has not been easy and has required the support and trust of others for me to continue on this path. My unit director and my colleagues were instrumental in motivating me to succeed in this company. Acquiring my BSN will motivate me to explore different opportunities in this profession. I would never have come this far without the support, inspiration and motivation of other members of my family.
