    This is just a scene where the kids realize that parents are people too. When Samantha's co-worker/alleged boyfriend (played by Kristin Chenoweth) walks in on the family's kidnapping is an example of this. Another scene is where the parents discuss what went wrong in their relationship after the family puppet therapy session. Children seem to listen to this dialogue between their parents and realize that they are not superheroes, they are human beings. Throughout the film, Emily tries to make her family normal. It's not until the conclusion that she realizes a much bigger message than wanting her family to be normal. For example when she admits that she is the queen of monsters; she's trying to be herself and that her family will never be normal. The moral of the story is that family is family and not everyone may be normal and we should accept differences. The movie Family Weekend is a movie that should be appreciated more. The cast demonstrated emotional depth multiple times throughout the film's progression. The extreme storyline and characters were unpredictable which made it so erratic. The moral messages depicted in the film are what allows the audience to connect with the film so well. I ask you to take into account all the arguments I have made and watch the film from another point of view. Give another family weekend
