    Just like Ali in the article “Use of reinforcement practices in educational institutions and its impacts on student motivation” had said that motivation has an impact on student behavior, Diedrich wanted to see if behavior modification was an effective method for educators to use. She says one of the most common problems teachers face is classroom management, as disruption of student behavior can affect learning time. According to Diedrich, teachers have difficulty deciding whether or not a student should be rewarded for expected behavior. And that some educators believe that rewarding expected behavior is not their job but rather that of parents. If educators have strong classroom management, they can eventually stop or prevent the increase in disruptive behavior (Diedrich, 2010). She believes that the use of positive reinforcement and rewards would motivate students to demonstrate appropriate social skills. Diedrich paraphrases an article by Chitiyo and Wheeler (2009) saying that "educators can teach students appropriate behaviors by establishing classroom routines, modeling desired behaviors, and creating natural reinforcement aimed at displaying positive behaviors and improving the classroom environment.
