Finally, a new law must be passed so that trans prisoners receive their hormones and any other necessary medications. These three small changes could help extend the lives and well-being of so many trans prisoners. Even though society is only making waves when it comes to acceptance, there is still a lot of work to be done. The treatment of trans inmates is degrading, inhumane, and oppressive, and the prison system must change how it selects and treats trans inmates before they are no longer raped, beaten, or
