Introduction: Suriname, officially known as the "Republic of Suriname", is a country located on the northeastern Atlantic coast of South America. The country is bordered by French Guiana to the east, Guyana to the west and Brazil to the south. Being the smallest independent country in South America, Suriname has a population of approximately 573,311 as of July 2014. Considering the country's population, it has a variety of ethnic groups spread throughout the country. Having 37% Hindustanis (East Indians), 31% Creoles, 15% Javanese, 10% Maroons, 2% Native Americans, 2% Chinese, 1% Whites and 2% others ethnic groups in the population. The country has a total area of 163,820 km², it uses 0.36% for arable land, 0.04% for permanent crops and the remaining 99.6% for other purposes. Suriname has a considerable land area and has a wide distribution of natural resources such as timber, hydropower, fish, kaolin, shrimp, bauxite, gold, small amounts of nickel, copper, platinum and iron ore. Having a variety of different natural resources, Suriname's economy is mainly dominated by the mining industry, exporting alumina, gold and oil. Most of Suriname's exports are oil, which accounts for 85% of Suriname's exports, bringing in 25% of government revenue. But as the mining industry is Suriname's main economy, the country is very vulnerable to price volatility, which makes Suriname's economy incompatible with its exports, thus destroying Suriname's economy as a whole. But overall, Suriname's economy is growing steadily at 4 to 5 percent per year, even with volatility in the mining industry, which makes up the bulk of Suriname's exports. The country is currently governed under military rule after many discussions middle of paper...... to improve the situation. In this case, the project which is the solution will help the houses to be more affordable so that people do not live in illegal housing areas and also provide them with proper facilities. With this project, the people concerned would receive 682 aid to repair/expand their house, this is the solution to the housing problem. Finally, for the country's healthcare sector, the solution to this problem is to have a clean range of potential drinking water systems, the water collected with this system would generally help to supply the entire community. This use of water would help the population become more hygienic and healthier thanks to the wide access to water that supplies them. These are the current solutions to Suriname's current problems and will help the country improve its problems for the future ahead..
