We all know what discrimination is, but most of us don't know what it feels like to be discriminated against. It's usually only when we go through something like discrimination that we begin to see what negativity exists. African Americans have had to overcome many obstacles to earn their place today. At first, they were sold into slavery, but after slavery was abolished, they faced racism and discrimination, which still exist. For my English essay, I interview my neighbor, who is African American. I chose to interview an African American because, from my perspective, this particular group was and still is the most discriminated against. Racial discrimination still exists because people view their race as superior to other races. As long as one race believes itself to be superior in every way to another, racism and discrimination will always exist.
