Bringing this information to the class from a counselor's perspective would be done as part of the developmental lesson and classroom activity. One activity might be to select a section from the book “I Am Malala” and ask students to write their feelings in the form of a poem. These are examples of my own reactions to certain sections of the book. This would be an opportunity to make students aware of how things are different and similar in other parts of the world. I would also like to show the following video to show students Malala's story as many may not know who she is.
