Survey of the New Testament involves all the stories of Jesus' life, all the obstacles He went through, and tells how people came to love,...... middle of paper...... Reading, “The Shadow of the Galilean” was extremely different from what I expected with this book I expected to read only the life of Jesus and the stories presented throughout the New Testament about how. he got people to follow him and the struggles he had gone through; not a book containing both historical facts and fictional characters and events. Despite my initial reaction, I really became interested in this book once I started reading it because it was so different from what I expected. The fictional part kept me entertained throughout its entirety and made me curious about what will happen next at any given moment. Overall, I recommend that anyone studying the life of Jesus and wanting a little “boost” to his stories delve into Gerd Theissen’s account of “The Shadow of the Galilean ».."
