The interview is made up of 6 different parts that assess your view/stance on specific subsets of religion. For each subset, answer the sample questions as best you can. Feel free to be specific/elaborate. The subset of the ontology is divided into 3 more specific categories in order to better describe each person's beliefs about the divine. These 6 categories/accompanying questions were described by my teacher, but if you have any questions/want more specific examples, please ask!1. Epistemology - Knowledge InquiryWhat constitutes valid knowledge and how should this knowledge be interpreted? What do you rely on to gain knowledge? What should be used to correctly understand and interpret this knowledge base? Is there a basis for valid knowledge/truth? The basis of valid knowledge depends on each person's personal understanding. “To know” means to understand or be aware. Everyone's personal knowledge differs and the way we obtain and interpret our knowledge is usually through our spiritual beliefs. To gain knowledge, I rely on the Word of God. Knowledge of God is the most valuable knowledge a human being can possess. The Word of God can be found in the Scriptures. Proverbs 2:6 tells us that the Lord gives us wisdom and that the wisdom of God results in knowledge and understanding. But it is also clear that simply being aware of God's existence is not enough; knowledge of God must encompass a deep appreciation for Him and produce a loving and growing relationship with Him.2. Ontology – Inquiry into the nature of ultimate reality What is ultimately real? What are some characteristics of ultimate reality? What is more real or less real? The true meaning of life and the only way to fill this void is to find a relationship with God. This relationship with God is only possible through his Son, Jesus Christ.6. Methodology - Investigation of methods to achieve life's purposeHow can we achieve life's purpose? What are the main aspects of the method or lifestyle that lead to this goal? The true purpose of life is not only found in accepting Jesus as Savior. This is when one begins to follow Christ as his disciple, to get to know him, to spend time with him in his Word, to communicate with him in prayer, and to walk with him in the obedience to his commandments. When you live the Christian life and follow Jesus, then and only then will you find true happiness and purpose in your life..
