2 Samuel 12 1-31The story begins with God sending Nathan the prophet. Who is Nathan the prophet. He is described as a messenger, a legal advisor and a man of great integrity. A man firm in his faith in God, his social status places him in the position of knowing the inner workings of the royal house and with God's revelation. Nathan is knowledgeable, faithful, and willing to serve a powerful prophetic message from God. In today's story, Nathan would be considered a role model. Nathan's techniques would describe him as a great storyteller. The Bible tells us that Nathan served King David and his son King Solomon.
