Two important and powerful Asian empires in history are the Ottoman Empire and Ming China. These two empires are located in completely different regions of Asia: the Ottomans were in the far west, the Chinese in the east. Therefore, these two empires naturally formed completely different cultures. However, surprisingly, these empires also had many things in common. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty had many different and distinct parts, as well as many similarities. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty of China had many differences. This was mainly due to their location, which corresponded to two completely different regions of Asia. The two empires formed a different culture, religion, history, society and economy. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty were, in some ways, completely different. First, their geographic location was different. The two empires were located at opposite ends of the Silk Road: the Ottomans in the west, the Chinese in the east. Ming China formed around the Huang He and Chang Jiang rivers, an excellent place for agriculture. It is not surprising that the Ming economy was largely based on agriculture. The Ottoman Empire, on the other hand, was formed around the Mediterranean Sea, where trade was predominant. Then the beginnings of the two empires were completely different. The Ottoman Empire grew as it conquered other nations. The Ming dynasty, on the other hand, began as a rebellion against the Mongols. The Ottomans' first ruler, Osman I, was a ghazis, or Islamic warrior, while Hongwu, the first Ming emperor, was a peasant who led a rebel army. The growth of the empire was also very different. The Ottomans grew through continued conquest of Asia Minor, Constantinople, Europe...... middle of paper ......wer inside China , because he was the head of the imperial government. Finally, the Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty declined for the same reason. The reason both empires fell was due to the weakness of their leaders. The later Ming emperors were weak and corrupt, and because the Ming dynasty was imperial, the ruler's weakness greatly deteriorated the empire. The Ottomans locked the heirs in the royal palace, leaving them with no experience in governing. The Ottoman Empire and the Ming Dynasty had many differences and similarities. Both had different origins, governments, religions, economy, society and history. However, the two empires were similar in the vastness of the empire, their economic and military strength, the power of the emperor, and their decline.
