In a famous ad campaign from the 80s and 90s, Zimmer was seen saying, “You're going to love the way you look; I guarantee it. Throughout its history, it has evolved into a more formal store specializing in black-tie formal wear such as suits and tuxedos. Today, they continue to sell men's suits, tuxedos, and accessories such as belts, ties, and shoes. In October, Joseph A. Bank, their main competitor, made a buyout offer at $48 per share, an offer that Men's Wearhouse quickly rejected and ignored. Men's Wearhouse has since made a buyout offer to Joseph A. Bank that was also rejected.
