Year-round education (YRE) is a traditional school program in the United States of America that provides nine months of education and three months of summer vacation. YRE has been present in the company since the early 1900s (Bussard). At the end of the 180th day, teachers and students enjoyed a relaxing vacation during three months of summer vacation. Schools will continue to follow the 180 day calendar system; However, these will have a shorter mandate each time.
