    Emerson and Thoreau both wrote well and studied in the same college and both use different technique to express their idea and thought to people . Emerson was born in 1803-1882, lived in Massachusetts and studied at Harvard. He met Coleridge and Carlye in England in 1883 and he was known for questioning traditional thoughts after publishing his first book titled "Nature", which is the best expression of his transcendentalism. Thoreau was born in 1817-1862; he lived in Massachusetts and studied at Harvard like Emerson and became friends with Emerson in 1837. Thoreau is both a romantic and a naturalist. The relationship between man and nature in Emerson and Thoreau differs from that of "Nature", in which he established a new way for the young American society to view the world. At this time, American culture was strongly influenced by European culture. Emerson, through his speech, wants to suggest the true American culture and ask its citizens to preserve the essence of the true American culture, but according to American history, the world began with one man and man are divided into many other men so that a job can be successfully completed due to the increased division among men, man no longer works effectively with one another to achieve better work. Emerson states that a true scholar must have great knowledge of nature to help increase self-awareness. Nature helps people find new ways to live in this world. He says that the relationship between man and nature is one of interdependence and they are parallel to each other so that we can understand our soul. He urges people to use the pleasure of nature with some self-control, because nature always has the colors of spirit and says that nature is the component of the universe.
