To improve your education and cover some costs, it is important to have scholarships, education, and degrees when you want to become an accountant. Will there be a need for career accountants in the future? Will there be openings for accountants when you enter the job market? These are all questions you need to consider when looking into becoming an accountant as a career in which you want to succeed in the future. There are several different types of accountants and auditors (“Accountants” para. 13). Accountants primarily focus on tax matters for businesses and individuals (“Accountants” par. 15). Many public accountants are CPAs, Certified Public Accountants (“Accountants” par. 16). Public accountants are typically employed by government agencies and review tax records (“Accountants” par. 21). Management accountants analyze data that is not intended for public use (“Accountants” par. 19). Internal auditors strive to eliminate waste and fraud from the company (“Accountants” par. 22). Information technology auditors work with computer systems to verify the accuracy of the system (“Accountants” par. 23). The route to this profession, accounting, is business information technology (“Accounting” para. 2). The type of work accountants do may vary depending on the position they hold in the business or profession (“Accounting Employment”, paragraph 11).
