There are many ways to reduce or even eliminate poverty. Many organizations focus on this topic to get the most beneficial solutions. Two major organizations are the PLAN and the UN (United Nations). The United Nations is an intergovernmental organization established on October 24, 1945 to promote international cooperation. PLAN is a global movement for change. It was founded in 1937 and is one of the largest and oldest international development agencies in the world. It works in around 70 countries around the world. Poverty is transmitted from generation to generation. There are several ways to break the cycle of poverty. I believe that quality education is essential to overcome the phase of poverty in the world. With a quality education, children will acquire the knowledge as well as life skills to know what they are capable of achieving and how to steer their lives towards the path they wish to take. Some organizations like Teachers Resource Organization (TRC) help train teachers, build schools, pay for school needs and basic school necessities. Organizations like these also help break down barriers that prevent children from attending school.
