Essay / Emotional intelligence and job satisfaction: publicized...
Employee job satisfaction is one of the emerging issues for today's HR managers, based on the strategic link between job satisfaction and employee productivity. Employee satisfaction is a complex phenomenon because it depends on various factors for employees at different hierarchical levels of the company. It is therefore essential that organizational leaders address this challenge strategically. Job satisfaction concerns the physical and psychological aspects of work. Personal factors of employees must be linked to financial gains in order to achieve long-term viability of organizational goals. The concept of emotional intelligence is essential as it uses social skills to understand the personal emotions of employees and consequently motivate them towards desired goals. A good leadership style is also essential on the part of the managers to achieve the optimum level of employee satisfaction. Emotional intelligence, job satisfaction and leadership style are some of the emerging issues in organizational theory. Prior literature endorses emotional intelligence (Daus and Ashkanasy, 2005; Van Rooy and Viswesvaran, 2004) and transformational leadership (Albion and Gagliardi 2010; Yang and Islam, 2009) as predictors of job outcomes, including job satisfaction. work. A wide range of research suggests that emotional intelligence abilities and traits influence job satisfaction (e.g., Carmeli, 2003; Sy, Tram, & O'Hara, 2006), but the relationship between job satisfaction, Emotional intelligence and leadership style has not yet received empirical attention. Moreover, rare studies reveal the mediating effect of transformational leadership between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction. Under certain conditions, emotionally intelligent people are expected to be more satisfied than others. Organizations need to train their employees alongside emotional intelligence skills and technical skills. Organizations need to be enlightened and well aware of the importance of emotional intelligence for employee job satisfaction. Training is needed for employees to recognize emotional intelligence and the use of emotional intelligence. This will be beneficial not only for the employees but also for the organizations by creating a win-win situation for both entities. Therefore, recognizing emotional intelligence is a first step that requires encouragement to promote and improve this construct, in doing so, in the long term, individual success becomes synonymous with organizational success..
