The book Inferno contains many different plots and values. Most of the book is considered very violent. The people there are tortured to death by the many different demons placed in the different circles of Hell. Dante goes on an adventure through Hell so that he can take the right path to Heaven. Her guide is Virgil, a well-known character, and he helps her throughout her journey. There are a total of 9 circles of Hell throughout the story. They go through each one, discovering the sins and punishments. However, with each circle, they struggle to get past the main demon who is in control. In the tenth pocket of the eighth circle, they are chased by angry demons after a soul escapes from a pit. As they run, they have to climb a hill. Dante becomes weak and afraid that he will not climb the hill. Virgil then speaks to him about the passage from Debout, in canto 24. “‘Stand up! Now is not the time to get tired! my Master cried.
