  • Essay / Dealing with obstacles related to student misbehavior in...

In a classroom, for effective learning to take place, there must be good communication between the students and the teacher. To know that learning has occurred, there must be a change in behavior. However, this process can be hindered by several factors present in the classroom, such as student behavior, noise, language barrier and many others. The main obstacle to the transfer of knowledge from the teacher to the student is the behavior of the student. This is the basic attribute that will determine whether a teacher will struggle to teach or struggle. This article will look at the different ways this factor can affect the learning environment and how to fix it. To begin with, student behavior is how students represent the context of learning institutions. In a classroom, not all students want to cooperate with the teacher. Here are some of the behaviors that might be observed in the classroom and how they can be addressed (Porter, 2000). Silence when asked a question. However, some students will not answer a question, especially when it is chosen by the teacher. This could be because they are shy or just don't want to respond because they just think it looks cool not to respond. Both of these ways make the teacher wonder if he or she hasn't communicated well and if the student hasn't understood. This would then waste a lot of time for the teacher to explain over and over again a concept that would have taken very little time. Make a unit different from what the teacher is teaching While teaching, a teacher may decide to walk around the classroom only to find a student doing a math assignment during history class. This type of behavior can cause a teacher to decide to suspend......in the middle of a paper......which will condemn him, result in his reserve and even hinder an appropriate learning environment. Therefore, the teacher should encourage the student to work hard and appreciate him when he does something commendable. Know When to Ignore When you're not teaching every student, be nice to the teacher. Some will laugh, others will decide to make jokes. However, the teacher should not always give him the mandate to comment on everything, but sometimes he must choose to ignore some so as not to waste other students' time by dwelling on a stupid joke made by one students from the back. In conclusion, for effective learning to take place, a teacher must study their students to know when to attend to them. Some of the elements mentioned above may appear and you should therefore be prepared to deal with them accordingly during the next lesson..
