Essay / Should dancing be considered a sporting tryout - 812
It is common knowledge that football players can get injured to the point where they have to stop playing. Dancers face the same difficulties. For example, during a double pirouette, if they spin without the proper assistance, they could injure their knee for years, if not forever. Additionally, jumping is something they must handle very carefully. There are a lot of leaps in the dance world. The “Tour Jeté” is one of many jumps, it is a jump where “…one foot comes out to the side and the other foot leaps to meet the other foot. The dancer lands with a kick…” If the dancer lands with a straight leg, there will be a lot of grimaces and probably tears on the dancer’s face. Any wrong move, landing or turnout could end a dancer's career for the rest of their career.
