Paula, the Director of Special Education, explained her experience in the social work field and what different career fields looked like for her, even across multiple states different companies she worked for. Career path specialist Emily Smallwood has a degree in psychology and helps senior students reach their next goal after graduation. We talked about his educational and professional experiences. She previously worked for several different companies like Healthy Families of America. Janet Gall is the College Pathway Specialist and helps students take the right steps to achieve their goals and decide on the right college as well as prepare students for the SAT, ACT, and Accuperate. She has also worked for various companies in the field of personal services. Shelleen Dawalt is a life coach at the school and has previously worked for DCS and the Department of Corrections and currently also works part-time at Ivy Tech as a Criminal Justice Instructor. Spending more time with each of them was fantastic, I gained so much knowledge about other possible careers.
