Essay / The Island - 1348
The Island (based on Lord of the Flies)After crashing on this unknown island, survival seemed almost inevitable, especially after the deaths of the pilot and our English teacher Mrs. Ammon. The 15 grade 10 students miraculously survived the accident. This led to unity within the class, which eventually deteriorated. Everyone was in shock and it took a while for everyone to come together. The last person found was Jasper Kessel, who had jumped into a tree to get a better view of the island. Everyone was extremely excited to see each other again, except for Ingrid Fossati, who had disappeared somewhat. The whole class embarked on a search which produced no results. This only resulted in Jasper going missing, but no one bothered to look for him, as he had a lot of experience in the African bush and would probably survive on his own. The rest of us returned to the deserted beach and sat there thinking. what exactly had happened, but no one was really sure. In a deep, authoritative voice, Dominic Neill, the class representative, stood up and told us all to forget what had happened and look to the future and survive this disaster. Everyone agreed and was assigned specific tasks. All the men in the class, which included Max Keichel, Max Brandt, Siv April, Dominic Neill and myself (unfortunately not Jasper), had been assigned to all the jobs. This involved trying to build some sort of shelter, find food, make a fire, and find useful items that might have been on the plane that might help us in our fight to survival. The females, Kirsten Zwinscher, Florianne Griffion, Leonie Volke, Helen Dedekind, Nyasha Herberg, Nathalie Vogel and Stephanie Chie, but not Ingrid (who was still missing), were responsible for collecting the fruit and massaging the males after their hard day. of work. These tasks did not begin until the next day. So all the females were enjoying the bright sun and just sunbathing, while the males found fruits and shared them with all the females. The first night everyone slept on the beach. Unfortunately, all the girls (except Nyasha) had been sunburned and therefore had difficulty completing their homework. We males all went into the thick jungle, where we were looking for small rodents..
