Software Download InstructionsThe main page of the Adobe website is divided into sections. At the top left of the page, there are seven tabs which include: products, solutions, learning, help, downloads, business and store; with a single click on each tab you can access more detailed information. At the top right of the page you can easily find a “search” engine, my Adobe, my orders, my shopping cart and a login link to returned customers. In the middle of the page, you'll see a large ad showcasing one of Adobe's new products; in this case, the site presents “Adobe touch Apps”. The bottom of the page is also divided into four different sections: Learn, Help, Download, and Products & Solutions. Each of these sections is a shortcut to access information quickly and easily. According to Gurak and Lannon, “Chunking is an organization technique in which you divide information into small units or modules based on topics or type of information. which will be covered in a given section” (Gurak and Lannon, 2007, p.47). The Adobe site shows a good example of the “chuck” organization technique. After clicking on the "download" tab on the main page, I was taken to the page that shows the products available for download. There are twelve products well displayed on the page, which I assume are the most popular products. The products are organized into two columns with six products in each column. Additionally, the product name is to the right of each square and has a “Buy/Try/Learn More” link that only appears when you hover over the product name. Concerning the audience, this site is very visited by all people with access to a computer such as a beginner home computer...... middle of paper ...... I have difficulty in find important information because the page is overwhelmed with blue links. In order to make the site more organized for visually impaired users, I would recommend using darker colors and changing some of the font size or style to distinguish the main content area of other links; According to Aditi's article, "you can generally assume that they will see less contrast between colors than you will." If you lighten the light colors and darken the dark colors in your design, you will increase its visual accessibility” (Aditi, 2011). Works Cited Adobe.
