  • Essay / Elementary Reading Attitudes Survey Paper - 2322

Originally, thirteen students were invited to participate in the survey. However, only nine students were allowed to participate by their guardians. The overall sample population included only six boys and three girls. Of the nine students in the study, four of them are classified as TIER II (intervention for students with reading difficulties) students. Two other students are labeled as TIER III students (intensive interventions for students with persistent reading problems). One student in this study is learning English. The at-risk nature of the student sample also means that this sample contained more students at the lower end of academic proficiency.
