    Tompkins defines organizational communication as “the study of sending and receiving messages that create and maintain a system of conscious coordination of the activities or forces of two or more people ". (Michael B. Salwen, 1996) A person gains a lot by achieving a goal, but more can be achieved by working as a team. Organizations seem to have this idea in mind. Eighty-three percent of companies reported working in teams. Organizations practicing team-based business communication date back to ancient times. Today we look at teams in organizations from a leader's perspective to study the role of a leader and how they contribute to the effectiveness of a team. “You can’t build a great team without great players. It's a fact. As the saying goes: "You can lose with good players, but you can't win without them." There are therefore two choices: train them or exchange them. (Maxwell, 2002) A team begins with a leader who is a valuable player in a team. It is the leader who organizes the teams and regardless of the experience level of an individual in a team, he can contribute with infinite qualities of talent towards the creation of a masterpiece. The role of a leader involves many responsibilities. Coach and communicate with your team. Encourage your team to work hard and set high standards. Reward the team when their performance is exceptional. Manage diversity and team effectiveness to improve the organization. Building a team is not an easy task. A leader must first find a goal or reason to build a team. The reason could be the creation of a product or a new service for a company.
