There were 55 child care directors, 330 child care caregivers, and 33 family child care providers from 11 counties in one state. Stratified random sampling was used to select 156 daycares and 100 family daycares. Three questionnaires were developed to create a profile of early childhood professionals, including the daycare director, the daycare educators and the family daycare manager. Statistical data analysis was performed using analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, and multiple regressions. Results showed higher levels of perceived professionalism among directors than among daycare workers and home daycare providers.
