Essay / A report on improving my speech as a public speaker through self-assessment
In choosing my topic, I wanted to talk about something that I was passionate about as well as something that almost everything is about the world would be interested in knowing more. . With the history of Pokémon video games and their initial popularity based on statistics, I wanted to make sure that people who didn't know much about the franchise were well informed and that those who knew a lot about the franchise could stay interested in something they could relate to not only as a child but also as a young adult. After watching my Panopto video, I was very pleased with my presentation. I was also able to notice specific places and aspects where I can improve to present an even better speech next time. There were times when I looked at my notes longer than I should, such as when talking about statistics or reviewing an extended aspect of history. When I asked my questions to engage the audience, such as in the introduction, I never took a break to let the questions sink in or for some peers to answer the questions; This is precisely this aspect that I need to work on. The pace of my speech is really fast; Based on some comments, some peers were not able to follow my topic, especially when I was referring to the statistical aspect of my speech.
