Grace Kelly was an internationally admired actress who couldn't seem to avoid attracting attention. She was a worldly beauty that people would die for. But in addition to being an actress admired around the world, Grace Kelly was a down-to-earth princess. Grace Patricia Kelly was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 12, 1929. Her mother was Margaret Katherine Majer: 1st coach of the University's women's sports team. from Pennsylvania. His father was John Brendan "Jack" Kelly, a champion sculler who won three Olympic gold medals. Her father was also a self-made millionaire (“Grace Kelly Biography”). As a child, Grace preferred to play alone. Once she was accidentally locked in a closet for several hours. When she was found, she was happily playing with her dolls. As a teenager, she was very insecure about her physical appearance. She once said in an interview, “I almost slipped into the woodwork, I was so embarrassed” (Kehoe 116). Grace Kelly expressed a deep love for performing from a young age. In addition to participating in school plays and productions, she often modeled with her mother and sister ("Grace Kelly Biography"). While attending Steven's School, a small private high school in Philadelphia, she continued to dream of acting. It was her uncle, George Kelly, who encouraged her to pursue a full-time acting career. After high school, Kelly decided to pursue her acting career in New York, despite her parents' objections. Kelly then enrolled at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, without always listening to her parents (“Grace Kelly Biography”). After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts at the age of 19, Kelly looked for a career on Broadway, but found it. difficult (“Grace Kelly Biography”). Overall, Grace Kelly was an amazing person who became a princess. Few people can say that. Not only was she a famous actress, but she was also a famous princess. Long live Princess Grace.
