I had often kept in mind the idea that girls tend to seek partners who resemble their fathers, so when there were many similarities between my father and now boyfriend, I couldn't help but be impressed. Some of the similarities ranged from the same basketball number and favorite candy to the same sense of humor and upbringing. Although the similarities aren't surprising or unusual, at the time I found it crazy how much he looked like my father. Looking back, keeping the error in mind, the similarities are nothing more than coincidence. For example, it's likely that they had the same high school basketball number because there aren't an infinite amount of numbers to choose from. It's funny to think that the similarities are due to fate, but I know these things are just chance and I just met someone who looks like me
