Human activities have taken advantage of almost all the skills necessary for the survival of these ancient turtles. Even if you think these turtles are not endangered, they are one of the most endangered species in the world. People have slaughtered these creatures for their eggs, meat, skins and shells, sea turtles suffer from poaching and overexploitation. They also face habitat destruction, accidental capture in fishing gear, and boat scrapes. Climate change impacts turtle nesting sites, but how it works changes the temperature of the sand, which then affects turtle hatching. Sea turtles depend on beaches for nesting.
