Essay / Suffering the horrors of war but finding his soul in...
In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, Wiesel explains how he will never forget the suffering he endured.¨I will never forget that night, the first night in camp, that turned my life into one long night, seven times cursed and seven times sealed... I will never forget those moments that murdered my God and my soul and turned my dreams into dust. I will never forget these things, even if I am condemned to live as long as God himself. War exists in the human soul, regardless of ethnicity, gender, etc. and is experienced by everyone in one way or another. If people discover the war that lies within themselves and think about it before the conflict begins, the war could slowly be minimized. Many different wars have left unforgettable moments in the minds of many people involved. History books reveal how the Revolutionary War devastated many people. The Civil War was the first war for which photos of ongoing actions were published, allowing many to visualize the pain of all the soldiers. World War I and World War II contain different articles and films that show different experiences of all the soldiers and families involved. Additionally, the Vietnam War features speeches in which anger and pain are expressed through words. All this proves how war begins to affect a person.
