    The Chadian government has just ended a year-long war between it and the rebel forces of N'Djamena. But even after the war, Chadian government security forces continue to violate human rights laws by committing murder, which violates the human right to life, acts of torture, which violate the human right to live in safety, and forced disappearances, which violates everyone. human right to live in security and freedom (“Amnesty wants Chad…”). Another major problem in Chad is a huge conflict between the government and Sudan. Sudan terrorized Chadian civilians to the point of forcing them to flee. To the point that civilians are afraid to return to Chad because they fear a resumption of violence (“Emergency relief…”). According to Holmes, attacks on aid workers in Chad from Sudan reached a record level in 2008 with more than 261 carjackings and 172 burglaries. Mr. Holmes has made numerous visits calling on the Sudanese government to respect humanitarian efforts, personnel and aid. After all his efforts, the tension in African countries begins to ease (“Emergency relief…”). Chad also has its own local problems with banditry and crime, this is due to the lack of laws around the towns. I believe Chad could function better if it respected human rights laws. I believe this because without torture they would have more civilians to help their army. I also believe that without forcing children to join the military, they could wait until they are older and therefore more physically fit for the military.
