    Personality can be defined as the way a person acts and thinks. The characteristics that determine the way a person acts and thinks are called personality traits. Personality traits are the building blocks of a person's personality, and the varied combination of traits is what makes each person so unique. There are twelve very different personalities in the film, one for each juror. Many interesting personality traits emerge during the discussion of the trial. For example, a man in the film describes himself as excitable. This is a personality trait that causes the person to be quite tense and respond without hesitation to something stimulating. The personality traits that make up people's personalities can sometimes cause them to easily judge something or someone without getting any of the facts first. Finally, behavior can also be determined by sensation and perception, stages of processing information collected from the senses. Sensation and perception depict the world for humans. Without them, humans would not be able to truly sense what is happening around them.
