  • Essay / The Criminal Justice System By Jonbenét Ramsey - 732

The problem here, I believe, is with the justice system itself and not the direct actions of the prosecution or the police involved. Honestly, the blame isn't that easy to pinpoint. If there is anyone to blame, it would be the people who tampered with the crime scene and the potential failure/inability of the police to preserve the scene if that were possible. After reading this story, I most certainly believe it is possible. for crimes as terrible as this to occur without justice being served. There is no way to guarantee that all crime scenes will be intact and sometimes problems with the crime scene can make evidence impossible to use, which will severely hamper a case, just like in this case with Jonbenét Ramsey. I don't think this amounts to selling out the rights of the victim, because as human beings there is only so much we can do.
