  • Essay / Technology Improving the learning process - 654

Technology is everywhere around us, everywhere we look and everywhere we go. Technology is omnipresent in our daily lives, we must integrate it into our teaching and learning techniques. We live in a “high-tech” world; therefore, students should learn with technology to ensure they have the necessary tools to succeed in this “high-tech” society and job market. A teacher’s goal is to prepare students for the “real world,” because students won’t stay that way forever. Technology not only improves the learning process of students, but it also helps teachers complete their work quickly and efficiently. Technology should be integrated into the learning program to improve overall student performance. Technology is here to stay; so we must reap its benefits. The government knew how important technology was; that's why, in 1983, he imposed a computer course on the public school system. According to Marc Prensky, today's students are "digital natives" and seniors are "digital immigrants." Young students are born into a world where there is a lot of use of computers, tablets and smartphones; while older people have grown up in an environment of changing technology. Teachers who are not computer literate must be properly trained in order to successfully integrate technology learning into their classroom. Teachers can use technical software to teach and complete their daily tasks. There is software that sets up online attendance, online grading, and online course scheduling. In addition to using these software to reduce the teacher's paperwork, teachers also use LCD projectors in their classrooms during their lessons. Teachers may not know that they are already using some kind of technology to learn...... middle of paper... Not all students are auditory learners; thus, they will not obtain the same results that they could have obtained if the class sizes were smaller. Online courses allow the student to access the teacher's course from their computer screen, at their own pace. Students “can replay the course as many times” as they wish (Abrams 3). The ability to take the course anywhere and the ability to access the learning material whenever a student wants is the advantage that technology brings. It's the 21st century, innovative learning technology will help guide our students in the right direction. Technology is linked to real education and the job market. Many jobs now require some form of computer knowledge. By adapting technology to the learning process, teachers, students and parents will see positive improvements in their academic performance and real-world job skills..
