Essay / Legal Definition of Tortoise - 1039
c) Strict Liability TortsAccording to the legal definition of tortfeasor, these torts refer to acts that cause damage - regardless of intent, the fault and the care taken by the perpetrator. It is important to understand that tortious conduct does not include wrongs committed as a result of a breach of contract. Contract law, which is a separate category of civil law, governs issues of breach of contract/trust. Liability of the tortfeasorThe damages for which a tortfeasor could be held liable are not limited to medical expenses and physical injuries. Often, the tortfeasor's liability may include restitution and/or payment for emotional distress, property damage, monetary damages, and/or violations of civil rights and privacy. Liability will therefore follow a variety of unlawful acts such as false imprisonment, environmental pollution, violation of intellectual property rights and copyright, product liability, defamation of character, vehicle and others.
