    The conflict I have chosen to write about is the Afghan War. This war is both political and cultural. The war in Afghanistan began after the attack on September 11, 2001. The United States has been at war with Afghanistan and the Republic of Iraq for 13 years now and we all understand why. It all started on September 11, 2001. The United States was designated as a target and the World Trade Centers were therefore destroyed through acts of coercion. Today, because of these attacks, we tend to be at war with the Taliban. These wars that usually concern us were considered easy and simple to accomplish what was necessary for the mission. It appears that our presence in the Republic of Iraq is eventually attracting terrorists who simply want to kill American troops. The war has brought a lot of attention to the Taliban thanks to the presence of our military there and this can be seen in the number of casualties. It seems that the war was powerful and not short as expected. As a result, we have been fighting in the Middle East for over 10 years.
