When we go to a grocery store, we see a plethora of foods and products. As a smart buyer, one would make a list of the things they need, get straight to work, and get what they came for. Where there are other people who go island by island looking for things they might need, and sometimes avoid fresh produce, and just stick to frozen because it's less money (we are always looking for a good deal). Unaware of what these two grocery shoppers are putting in their cart, they are most likely choosing the cheaper foods they are looking for and throwing them away without consciously thinking about why they are cheaper and the effects this may have on your body. These two grocery shoppers know that eating healthy; By choosing only natural or organic foods, it is much better for your body and your health. Why do these people choose processed, packaged, refined foods over healthy, all-natural, organic foods? It is because of this; processed foods are much cheaper than organic and all-natural foods, and American grocery shoppers are always on the hunt for deals, making us an obese nation. Our government and nation come together to warn us of the dangers of processed, packaged, and refined foods, but nothing is being done to make all-natural and organic foods more affordable; On the contrary, it remains expensive and we will continually consume harmful and not so real foods. If we were all aware of the higher cost of cheap food, we would start choosing healthier foods and even demand a cheaper price. Eating processed, packaged and refined foods; It's not worth becoming obese. This is a major health issue facing us as Americans and it is only getting worse. Processed foods are one of the leading reasons for Americans' major health risks today, and if no action is taken to prevent this, it can be deadly. If we do not take this into account, if we do not put aside the American diet and choose only natural and organic foods, our nation could become much worse. The cost of healthy foods is higher, which is why we choose to stick to cheap foods rather than putting in something that is more nutritious and keeps your body functioning properly. But it's not worth paying your medical bills every time you go to the doctor or to fill your prescriptions when you could actually help eliminate disease simply by eating healthy, all-natural, organic foods...
