    That's about seven hours a day. That's an hour less than the Americans. They also have much more time to eat lunch and breakfast. If you add it all up, they're in class for five hours and forty-five minutes every day for five days a week. For holidays, they benefit from six weeks in summer, two weeks at Christmas and Easter and one week in mid-February and October (“School Conditions”). They leave school for two months and two weeks every year. In the United States, students leave school for three months per school year. So even though they attend classes longer, Americans get longer breaks. In Britain, students attend school for one hundred and ninety-five days (“School Days”). American students attend school for one hundred and eighty days. That makes a difference of fifteen days! US students also have ten snow days which can be waived if it snows and they cannot return to school. British students don't necessarily have snow days; they just get kicked out of school because of dangerous snow
