This has become a major problem in the concept of "healthy eating" because the majority of Americans have an extremely skewed view of what healthy eating truly means. This misunderstanding has given the United States of America a very bad reputation as a “nation obsessed with fast food”. A healthy diet is directly linked to a multitude of benefits that keep the human body in good physical and mental health. The true facts about healthy eating must be exposed today to the nation of the United States and 195 other countries on the planet. Healthy eating is often thought of as a diet for weight loss. However, the true definition of a diet is the food that the human body consumes over a period of time. A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A diet useful for promoting healthy eating must rely on all food groups, because a single group cannot provide everything the human body needs to stay healthy. A healthy diet simply means consuming the right amounts of foods from all food groups in order to live a healthy life. An often misinterpreted concept of a healthy diet is to eat as many fruits and vegetables as possible. However, this concept poses a major problem.
