Today, information is the cornerstone of modern business and the Web has become the largest and most comprehensive information resource accessible. The ability to gather, organize, and manipulate information with computers has allowed businesspeople and businesspeople to practice managing information effectively. Information retrieval is a process and techniques of searching and interpreting information in order to store the data for easy retrieval when needed. In the article titled "Seven Ages of Information Seeking", the author, Michael Lesk, explained the history or beginning of information seeking based on Vannevar Bush's 1945 theory, Warren Weaver's 1949 and also linked to Shakespeare's 1955 theory which is seven ages of man, from childhood to senility. Vannevar Bush (1980–1974) was an American science and engineering leader during and after World War II. He was instrumental in the development of the atomic bomb and the analog computer, as well as an administrator of government scientific activities.
