    New York City is one of the largest, most populous and liveliest cities in America. People travel to New York every day just to visit. New York's population is more than 8.3 million people. New Yorkers love their city. They are also very busy people. Thousands of people are still walking because of the slow traffic. The city is never calm. New York is a very big city, which means lots of jobs. The bigger the city, the more jobs there are in the city. The city is also very beautiful at night. The city lights at night are incredible to watch and provide a wonderful view from anywhere in New York. September 11, 2001 was a day that will never leave our minds and hearts. It was the saddest event in New York. Early in the morning of September 11, the terrorist finally attacked America. They hit the World Trade Center which was the most beautiful building in New York, the Twin Towers. Two shots led towards the twin towers. There were over a hundred floors in the twin towers. Tons of people who work there, including visitors, were in the building when the plans were sent into the buildings. The towers were entirely made of silver metal. The terrorist planned to attack America. The terrorist had taken flying lessons in Florida to prepare for the hijacking he was going to commit. The terrorist militants had hijacked two plans for the attack they were about to carry out. Many people were afraid of the terrorist leader. The militants had been searching for their leader, who was named Osama bin Laden, for years. These attacks were the worst terrorist attacks ever to occur in the United States. More than 3,000 people were killed by the attacks in New York and Washington DC.
