Paul McCartney is a famous musician who lived in England and then moved to the United States. He is best known for being with the Beatles. Paul McCartney has lived a very successful life as a musician. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest musicians of all time and is second only to Elvis Presley as a hit maker. James Paul McCartney was born on June 18, 1942 at Walton Hospital, Liverpool. When McCartney was five years old, he began attending Stock Wood Road Primary School. In 1953 he passed his eleven Plus, which is a high school test, which earned him a place at the Liverpool Institute. He then met George Harrison in this high school. Four years later, McCartney's mother, Mary McCartney, died of a blood clot. She suffered from breast cancer due to her heavy smoking habit. McCartney's father, Jim McCartney, encouraged him and his brother to become musicians and gave Paul a trumpet for his birthday, but he ended up trading it in for a Framus E15 acoustic guitar. At first, Paul had difficulty playing the guitar because he was left-handed. He then learned to record the guitar and wrote his very first song, “I Lost My Little Girl”. Paul McCartney quit guitar lessons shortly after he started because he preferred to listen by ear and never learned to read notes. When McCartney was a teenager, he joined several different bands that had an early form of rock and roll. When McCartney was 15, he met a rock and roll enthusiast named John Lennon in the hall of St. Peter's Church on July 6, 1957. Lennon asked McCartney to join his band, the Quarrymen, and Paul agreed to do so. . They became friends and began writing and performing many hit songs together. He married Heather Mills, a full-time landmine activist and former model, in 2002. The marriage ended in 2006. Later that year, he married Nancy Shevell, a New York businesswoman. Paul McCartney is certainly one of the greatest musicians who ever lived. He lived a very successful life as a musician, most notably with the Beatles. McCartney has had a strong influence on the music industry. Paul McCartney and the Beatles would change rock and roll music forever.
