    When considering a source to consider, when looking for films that depict the Latin American lifestyle or values, I choose a particular film. I was thinking of A Walk in the Clouds, directed by Alfonso Arau. When one watches this film, it is evident to see the interaction and struggles between a traditional Mexican family and the California lifestyle of the United States. I have watched this particular film in the past, but now, with a different pair of lenses, it has become extremely distinctive to my new perception of Latin America. Without knowing it, I didn't know that the director was the same one who made Like Water for Chocolate. One review describes it this way: “Alfonso Arau has a pretty easy time in A Walk in the Clouds. The Mexican filmmaker who made kitchens look like boudoirs in Like Water for Chocolate carries the same fairytale feeling into this romance set in Northern California.
