On September 11, 2001 at 8:46 a.m., an American airline plane carrying 96 passengers crashed into the side of the North Twin Tower in New York . A few minutes later, another plane crashed into the second Twin Tower. It didn't take long after the second plane hit for the second tower to completely collapse. More than 3,000 people were killed that day in New York and Washington, DC. The days following September 11 brought significant changes to our country. According to the History website written by A&E, the planes were hijacked by 19 militants who were associated with Al-Qaeda. These individuals hijacked four planes. As for the shootings at Fort Hood, I'm still a little perplexed that the base's security and emergency response system wasn't so bad as to make you think twice about it. to open fire on the base again after the 2009 shooting. should have been at an all-time high, causing Lopez to think about his actions before taking them. The Department of Homeland Security, the Transportation Security Administration, the Homeland Security Advisory System, and the National Terrorism Advisory System all grew out of the events of September 11, 2001.
